Gabala - Azerbaijani Switzerland

1) Mountain serpentine.

The beginning of our journey will pass through the ancient capital of Azerbaijan, the ancient city of Shamakhi, along a beautiful mountain road. We will make a stop on the way so that you can admire the view and make a photo session (if you wish, we can have breakfast there too). Also here you can buy inexpensive, mountain honey, which is sold directly from hives.

2) Fairy forest and waterfall "7 beauties".

Next we will pass through a dense forest, the crowns of which will be intertwined right above our road. We will make a halt, and you will be able to stroll through this fabulous forest. Then we will drive to the highest cascade of waterfalls in the country. To the waterfalls "7 beauties". You will find an interesting climb on steep stairs and narrow bridges. At the very top we will have an atmospheric observation deck. Going back, we will have lunch in a restaurant by the mountain river, to the sound of waterfalls.

3) Gabaland, Qafqaz Resort and Mountain cableway.

Finally, we will come to the city, which for 900 years was the capital of ancient Albania, a mountain resort, rightly called “Azerbaijani Switzerland” - in the city of Gabala. After passing through the picturesque streets of the city, we will visit the largest in the country amusement park “Gabaland”. Along with a variety of attractions, skating rink, go-karting and a large (but not deep) swimming pool with slides, this complex has a very beautiful park area with many trees, sculptures and artificial lakes. Further, we are waiting for a visit to the SPA complex (swimming pools, Turkish bath, saunas, massage, etc.) of the Qafqaz Resort hotel, as well as the most beautiful and very steep mountain cableway of the Tufandag hotel.



4) Lake "Nohur" and a walk on a catamaran

Later in the evening we will go back and visit the beautiful lake "Nohur" on the way. You will be able to ride on the lake on a catamaran, as well as ride a horse on the shore. Then we are once again waiting for a trip through the pass, where we will stop and have dinner at one of the restaurants, admiring the view of the sun setting behind the mountains. At nightfall, we will return back to Baku.

 

At your request, the tour may take 2 days. This will need to be further discussed with the organizer, as it will be necessary to book a hotel for one night. With this option, the trip may extend to the ancient city of Sheki, with a visit to the palace of Sheki khans, Karavansaray and the ancient Albanian monastery. You can also taste Sheki sweets famous all over Azerbaijan, and on the way back we will have time to visit the very ancient mosque in Azerbaijan - the Juma mosque in the city of Shemakha and the sanctuary in the mountain - Pir Diri Baba.
