Meet your guide at 7pm under the TV at Times Square in Causeway Bay. You can get there by taking the MTR to Causeway Bay Station, Exit A and make your way out to ground level. Once outside, you will see the TV above about 164ft/50m away from you. Look for the human with the moose antlers.

First, you'll experience an ancient Chinese folk ritual known as, 'Villain Hitting' performed by Granny Chiu, a professional and government-licensed 'Villain Hitter' with over a decade of experience 'hitting' villains and demons. You'll learn how Granny Chiu uses unconventional methods to make them flee.

After the traditional ritual, hop on one of Hong Kong's oldest transports, the tram. After arriving at the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, board a sampan boat to enjoy a scrumptious seafood dinner. If you’re an Anthony Bourdain fan, you may know about this experience which he tried on his show 'No Reservations' when he visited Hong Kong.

Boat dwellers, one of the earliest ethnic groups of Hong Kong, worked and lived on sampan fishing boats and the chefs at this restaurant, past and current generations, are all boat dwellers. Whilst all other similar restaurants have already moved their restaurants inland, this restaurant insists on keeping the traditional dining experience alive. Floating restaurants were all the rage in the 70's and now, they're very rare and you'll have a chance to embark on one of the last standing floating restaurants in Hong Kong.

During your meal, you'll try the infamous traditional spicy typhoon shelter crab that even Anthony Bourdain couldn’t stop raving about. Equally important, you'll wash everything down with a bottle of Chinese Hua Diao wine shared among the group and your guide will be there to explain the dishes, methods to eat them and sauces to dip them into.

Sample Menu (subject to change without prior notice):
  • Blanched fresh prawns
  • Stir fried clams in black bean sauce
  • Razor clams with mince mushrooms and garlic on a bed of vermicelli
  • Chinese kale with soy sauce
  • Typhoon Shelter Crab
  • Crab oil stir fried noodles
  • Chinese Hua Diao wine
Don't miss out on an experience that many Hong Kong travellers haven't even heard of. Definitely for the off-the-beaten path lovers. Your experience will end around 10:30pm at the Tin Hau MTR station.

Please note: When booking for the tour on Fridays, each transaction requires a booking of 2 people and more. Should you be a single traveller, please book the tour on Tuesdays as it allows just one person per transaction.
