Semi Private Wines Of Spain Vineyard Day Trip

This day trip is fun, informative and educational, as well as a very unique opportunity to try a variety of fabulous wines and have a great meal in an amazing environment. We’ll visit two small vineyards in the region south of Madrid, just about an hour drive from the city. Several quality wine regions are located in the vicinity of the capital, like per example the DO Vinos de Madrid, the DO Castilla la Mancha, or the DO Méntrida. We’ll visit two different wineries, one in the morning, and one during the afternoon. At the wineries, we'll begin with a short trip to the fields for a brief history of the wine region, the grapes grown there and an introduction to viticulture. Then we'll visit the facilities and the barrel rooms for explanations of the equipment used to elaborate the wine, the storage processes and the bottling methods. Afterward, we’ll head to the tasting room for generous tastings of whites, rosés, and reds. Our lunch restaurant is only a short driving distance away and we’ll enjoy a delicious Spanish 3 course meal, obviously include wine. Of course, all that you taste is available for purchase from the vineyards. We only take a maximum of eight people on each trip, ensuring that the day is relaxed, personal, flexible and fun. We collaborate with small wineries that are not visited by busloads of people. We are almost always the only guests at these establishments during our scheduled visits, enjoying the undivided attention of the winemakers.
