Make the most out of your time in half a day and join us on our Medellin City Tour. Get to know the most beautiful and relevant places of the capital city of Antioquia while your expert guide makes sure to tell you as much as you like to know about Colombian culture and history. We will start off our tour in Pueblito Paisa, a replica of a traditional small Antioquia town, where we admire the typical large whitewashed houses decorated with beautifully painted doors as well as a traditional church and town hall. We also get to enjoy an incredible view over Medellin as Natibura Hill is the perfect place to look over Medellin. On our way to the city center well walk through tree-lined avenues of a beautiful neighborhood called Laureles. The area offers everything you can dream of if you're looking for a good restaurant or food court. If you like well stay for a short while and try a typical Colombian dish (own expense). Our next stop will be at Plaza Botero, right in the center of Medellin, where we are going to discover the unique style of Fernando Botero, Colombias famous artist. As we have a look at the sculptures with their disproportioned body parts and unusual inflation we learn about Botero's sense of humor and irony but also criticism. Afterwards we will get the chance to admire the worlds largest collection of his paintings in the adjacent Museum of Antioquia and can also have a look at pre-Hispanic, Colonial and Contemporary art and much more. Walking the short distance to Berro Square we talk a bit more about the surrounding buildings or the city's transport options. The square is considered the heart of the city for it was already built way back in 1680. Located in the middle of the square we can see a statue of Pedro Justo Berro, once governor of Antioquia and an important political figure for Medellin and Colombia. After hearing interesting facts and fascinating stories about the city, its art and its people, our City Tour Medellin will end in its posh and most popular neighborhood El Poblado at Parque Lleras. There we experience why Medellin is also called the City of Eternal Spring. Vivid streets rimmed by trees and if you come back at night with many sparkling lights invite us to linger around a bit longer. Tourists as well as locals love to enjoy the nightlife in El Poblado, so make sure you don't miss out on this experience. At last its up to you, return to your hotel or stay in the area and check out one of the excellent restaurants our guide can recommend you.
