Sao Paulo Zoo and Zoo Safari Admission Tickets

Since 1958, the Parque Zoológico de São Paulo Foundation has provided entertainment, research and works for the conservation of species kept in captivity, and awaken the environmental awareness of the population through its three units: Zoo, Zoo Safari and the Division of Rural Production.

Inserted in PEFI - State Park of Fontes do Ipiranga, one of the most important remaining segments of Atlantic Forest in the city of São Paulo, Zoo and Safari Zoo host some of the sources of the Ipiranga stream and shelter dozens of species of native fauna. With an area of approximately 900,000 m², the Zoo and the Safari Zoo, in addition to harboring the native species, maintains a population of about 3,000 animals, represented by numerous species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Among these animals are very rare and endangered species, such as the Malaysian gavial, three of the four species of lion tamarins (black-tamarin moth, golden-tamarin moth and lion tamarin rhinoceroses, among others. Connected to the Environment Department of the State of São Paulo, since its opening, the Zoo has received more than 85 million visitors, attending a yearly audience of more than 1 million and 600 thousand people.
