After picking you up at your centrally located hotel in Shanghai, you will drive to Suzhou where the first stop is the famous Garden of Cultivation, which was built during the Ming Dynasty about 500 years ago. It covers an area of nearly 4000 m² ( 43.000 ft²) with a small lake at it's center. It was declared world heritage site by the UNESCO in 2006. Here you will enjoy a fragrant cup of famous Suzhou Biluochun tea and can soak in the flair of this ancient town. At the Flower and Bird market you can catch glimpse of the local culture and the long tradition of bird breeding in China. After enjoying a short lunch break in an ancient mansion combined with complimentary local snacks, you will visit the Garden of the Master of Nets, a masterpiece of Suzhou landscaping art with nearly 1000 years of history. During a stroll along Pingjiang Road you experience the charme of Suzhou's old town full of small canals and bridges, where people still live today. It's because of this that the city has been called the Venice of the East. After an exciting day of exploring this marvel of Chinese architecture and culture, you return to Shanghai, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
