The departure is at 11:00 am from a designated meeting point in central Sofia. The highlights of the tour include all of the most prominent sights in Sofia: St. George Rotunda, the Administration of the President, National Archeological Museum, 16th century Banya Bashi Mosque, St. Nedelya – old metropolitan church, National Theatre, former Royal Palace (now housing National Revival Art Gallery and Ethnographic Museum), St. Nikolay Russian Church, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, National Assembly Square, where in the middle of the square sits the impressive Tsar Osvoboditel (King Liberator) monument erected in 1907 by the Italian sculptor Arnoldo Zocchi, Holy Synod, St. Sofia Church, Bulgarian National Gallery for Foreign Art, Alexander Nevski Cathedral – the biggest one in Bulgaria (without entrance fee) and according to many – the most spectacular building in Sofia.
