Begin your tour by meeting your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel. Together with your tour guide you'll make your way to the train station in Zürich An intercity train will take you within one hour to Lucerne. You'll continue on the boat on lake Lucerne. The one hour cruise on the lake takes you to Beckenried, where you change on the local bus. Within 20 minutes, the bus takes you to Stans, the capital village of the canton of Nidwalden. With a short walk around in the village, you will pass by the "von Winkelried"-memorial, a soldier of Stans and important person during the local battles and foundation of Switzerland. 

You'll walk over the famous village square, which was rebuilt after a fire in 1713. You will see charming houses and finally arrive at the funicular station. 

You will get your boarding pass to take a seat on the historical funicular, first built in 1893. During 10 minutes you travel through the upper part of the village and meadows with a charming view to Stans and the lake Lucerne. After the funicular, you change to only one worldwide cabrio-gondola, which will take you to the peak. You can board on the lower deck behind panoramic windows or you step up on the rooftop of the gondola and enyjo the ride on the open deck. Once arrived on Mount Stanserhorn, it's up to your preferences, if you would like to step up on a short walk to the summit, passing the marmot enclosure or you'll visit the revolving restaurant and enjoy the view from inside. You may ast the "Stanserhorn Ranger" about the point, where the eagels fly or where the flowers are bloonming. On the terraces, you'll have a stunning view to the surrounding mountains - just relax on this surrounding of fresh air and mountains!Your tourguide will join you all the time and your length of stay will be according your preferences. Whenever you are ready, the return journey will be on the same route back to Stans, where you board the local train to Lucerne. In Lucerne you'll board the intercity train back to Zürich, where the tour will end and if preferred, your tour guide will lead you back to the hotel.
